I often get asked about what equipment and materials I use, so I’ve gathered everything I use into this one page.

USEFUL LINKS

Everything listed here are items I genuinely personally use and have bought with my own money. Some are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you make a purchase.

01. Shooting

DJI Osmo

To shoot video I had to lug around my Sony a7 III and a prime lens which was bulky and drew attention. The DJI Osmo is an absolute game-changer.

Octopus Tripod

So much easier to carry around and set up out and about than a traditional tripod.

Mamiya RB67

My favourite medium format camera. I love that its fully mechanical and will outlive us all.

Canon AE-1

Inexpensive and incredible 35mm camera. Usually easy to find good condition ones on eBay.

Kamrette Camera Bag

The perfect stylish, inconspicuous camera bag. Super sturdy, it even handles the Mamiya RB67 with ease.

Binstax

Instant film back for the Mamiya RB67. What I shot my RED series on and my favourite setup.

Instax Square

What I use to shoot with the Binstax.

02. Editing +

Seagate External HDD

I used to use LaCie and the ports would keep failing so I opened one up and lo and behold what was inside? A Seagate hard drive. Now I just skip the middle man and extra cost and go direct.

Davinvi Resolve

When it comes to video editing I’ve tried Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Davinci, and much prefer the latter. The free version is more than enough for most needs.

Dehancer

My favourite colour grading plugin, Dehancer is a labour of love built from years of experience with real film emulsions.

MacBook Pro (2020)

I got mine refurbished from Minko’s Macs and its still going strong in 2025.

02. Storing + Archiving

Instax Square Album

Where I safely store all the Binstax shots I take.

Archival Film Sleeves (120)

How I keep my medium format negatives safe.

Archival Film Sleeves (35mm)

How I keep my 35mm negatives safe.
