As a queer person and a certified Romantic soft boi, I can’t describe how wonderful and how much of a privilege it was to get to document such an intimate, beautiful sapphic wedding. It’s what I live for; the tender moments, the profound connection and most of all, the radiant, uninhibited queer joy.

The day started with documenting Raluca and Dani tenderly helping each other get ready for their day. I love that they fully discarded the ‘no seeing each other before the ceremony’ tradition and just did what felt right for them.

The exquisite flower crowns (stored in the hotel mini bar overnight to keep them fresh) were a beautiful symbol of their commitment to nurturing and supporting each other's growth.

The ceremony was an intimate affair, bringing together their closest friends and family. Dani’s family, who were unable to physically attend, joined the celebration over a video call from New Zealand.

After the ceremony we went to some beautiful gardens nearby where we found even more gorgeous flowers in bloom, the perfect setting for Raluca and Dani to take time to focus on each other, their love and their new identities as wives.

From the heartfelt moments during preparation to the intimate ceremony witnessed across continents, this wedding demonstrated the resilience, strength, and authenticity of queer love. May their story continue to inspire others to celebrate love in all its forms and create a world where everyone is free to love and be loved without restrictions.
