Elena Erin for her album Roaring 20’s.

Elena reached out to me in early January of 2025 to create some images for her new album inspired by the 1920’s.

She did her own hair and makeup inspired by the era and we shot in her living room with a black sheet draped on her shelf and the moody winter light softly filtering in through the window.

I put my new-to-me Canon AE-1 through its paces for the first time on this shoot and I loved both the results and the experience of shooting with it.

Having been used to photographing pretty much exclusively on the Mamiya RB67 for the last year, the lightness and freedom of movement the Canon gave me was liberating and allowed for so much more experimentation.
